I've entered a craft show on the 2nd week of November (the first one I've done in, I think, five years!!), so I'll be rather sporadic here again for a bit, since I have so much to do.
Biggest challenge? I want to rename my 'company', so that if I open an etsy shop, or sell online, it's easier to search, and also I'd like something that's not specifically jewelry, or too feminine, in case I decide to branch out.
I kinda need to think on this fast, since I need to print new labels, etc. And I've already been thinking on it for awhile.
On the good side, getting ready for this will take my mind off of joining etsy for awhile. I have a few questions about it, and I've been scouring the forums there for awhile. Research, ya know.
Also, my brother will be sharing a booth with me, selling copies of his CD at the show. And we always seem to have fun hanging out together, and inspiring/bouncing ideas off eachother.
Aside from that, I'm going to have to start working on Christmas soon, too. This year, I've promised not to stress so much about it.
And before that, I have to make Halloween cookies! And I'm going to see Metallica the first weekend of November.
So yeah, I'll be off and on. But I'm pretty sure I won't neglect DA as much as I did from March 'til last month.

Well, I must say, it feels amazing to be back here. Though I don't know how active I'll always be able to be, just getting back in touch with everyone again has made me wonder how I stayed away so long.


Drawing-wise, I'll be working on the Kings and Knaves from my Card Queens series, though who knows how long it'll take, since I'm itching to do some new Jem art, and maybe a little SheRa (don't count on it though, my drawing time has been mostly taken over by my jewelry and crafting time lol).

I am, however, going to be making time for the tablet I got last Christmas, since I've barely had the chance to play with it.

Which brings me to my next announcement: I'm doing a bit of a gallery clean-up, getting rid of some older, horrid works. This ties in with my tablet because...instead of deleting my four "Belles of the Yule Ball" pieces (which, by the way, are my most faved works), I have decided (and started) to redo them digitaly. It'll be the same designs and essentially the same drawings, just hopefully better.
See, everytime I got another fave on the Yule Ball pics, I felt guilty. Looking at them, the designs are really nice, and the characters are of course very popular, but I always felt like the drawings were rushed, and rather horrible. I think people have faved the concept, but not necessarily the work. So, I'm gonna try my best to redo them and make them worthy of so many faves!

Another question! (If you're still reading at this point). I'm thinking of selling my jewelry on Etsy eventually. But I don't have a credit card, and you need one to have a shop...can I use someone else's? (With their permission, of course!) Also, any words of advice, tips on what to do about shipping, etc., and anything else in general?
Then I have to think of what I want to call my shop, since I'm wanting to rename my jewelry "company" to something that'll reflect all the eclectic things I do, but that's also easily searched for on the 'net.

Hi guys! It's been awhile!

Lots has been happening, mostly me trying to work through things, and work out things in my life.
I am definitely going to keep this account (thanks to my friends here on DA who gave me great words of wisdom!), but I may close my jewelry account, and post the jewelry here. That's mostly because I'm thinking of changing the name of the jewelry 'company', but I'm not sure.
I'm thinking about opening a shop on etsy for the jewelry, but I have a ton of research to do before I'll be comfy with that.
I did, in the last few days, actually draw some things for the first time in ages, which I'm hoping to scan and post soon.
I guess while I won't be on here much (as I haven't been really since March), I just wanted to let you guys know I'm not totally disappearing, and that I miss you all!

Hey, everyone!
I hope you're all enjoying the sunshine as much as you can!
So, first of all, thank you to everyone who's faved my work in the last few months. I'm thanking you here, because I don't think I'll be able to visit individual pages to thank everyone personally, as much as I'd hoped to be able to. I still have art all the way back from March to comment on!
Which brings me to the dilemma. I'm caught between two choices here. I really don't have the time to put into DA that I once did, and I don't think I will have much time in the future, either. I'm a bit busy at the moment trying to get my life back, and getting help for my panic disorder so that I can go out and do the things I once did. That, and I want to work on perhaps making something of my jewelry, but the moment I go into 'business', my free time will be sucked out of me, because business does that lol. Especially since my computer is slower than...well, think of something really slow, and compare it to that. It's not a virus or anything, I think it's just about time to upgrade, but sadly, that's not in the budget lol.
So, my one option is to remove my account, and all my stuff on it, and say goodbye to DA, and the awesome friends I've made here. Or, I could leave everything on, keep the account, but when I do sign in, I might not be able to comment on things much, since the messages accumulate, and I get stressed. At least this way, I'll have the option to post if I draw something. And I have no idea what I'll do about my jewelry account. If I do decide to sell online, I might get rid of that DA account, simply because I don't have the patience to post on multiple places, and I have my jewelry blog to think of, too. Argh! What to do....
I hope this journal made sense, because I think I may have been rambling again.
Anyways, I completed a successful sewing project from a pattern (and I suck with instructions lol), so now I have a new top to wear to a party we're having next weekend! Ahh, summer!
