Lol, I've been on DA since August 3 years ago, and I still draw a blank when trying to title my journals.

So, the craft fair went well. I made some sales, as did my brother. Of course, I was on my feet for 6 hours in high-heeled boots (yes, I knew better, but I'm short, and I wanted to be able to see over my display ). The best part, though? The smell of crafts, and the sound of Christmas music!!!!! Christmas craft fairs make me so ridiculously happy.

And now I'm exhausted. LOL

Anyways, I have a busy week ahead, but mostly doing fun Christmas-prep stuff. And Christmas gifts to make...

Hopefully, if I have a few minutes and I remember, I have two knaves from the card-suit Queens series finished. Must scan and post them!

Whew! So, my aching 'headbanger's neck' has finally dissipated to a very slight stiffness since the (totally effing awesome) Metallica concert on the 3rd. OMG, when they played my all-time fave, (Seek and Destroy - the very last encore, as always), I screamed the rest of my voice into oblivion. It was fantastic.

So now, I have six days left until the craft show I'm doing, and just a few things left on my to-do list for that. Still, any extra time this week should go into making necklaces and bracelets, as I have over 50 pairs of earrings, and less than 10 each of necklaces and bracelets.
I thought I'd be feeling nervous, as it's been 5 years or so since I last did a show, but I'm really looking forward to it, especially hanging out with my brother, who'll be selling his cd at our booth. He's arriving on Friday, and we'll be watching horror movies that night, as it's the 13th, and I wasn't there for his Halloween get together.

I've scanned the thumbnails of the deviations I have to go through, and while I'm itching to see them all close-up, I want to wait until I have time to properly comment and fave. So after the craft show, while I'm taking breaks from Christmas stuff.
I also started a blog as an online gallery and updater of my jewelry (I didn't want to open yet another DA account I never have time to maintain), and I photographed most of my stock (I'll be playing a slideshow in a digital frame on the table at my booth), so there'll be lots of pics and stories, hopefully updated regularily! Okay! Off to print business cards and labels, and put the hinges on my display!

I've entered a craft show on the 2nd week of November (the first one I've done in, I think, five years!!), so I'll be rather sporadic here again for a bit, since I have so much to do.
Biggest challenge? I want to rename my 'company', so that if I open an etsy shop, or sell online, it's easier to search, and also I'd like something that's not specifically jewelry, or too feminine, in case I decide to branch out.
I kinda need to think on this fast, since I need to print new labels, etc. And I've already been thinking on it for awhile.
On the good side, getting ready for this will take my mind off of joining etsy for awhile. I have a few questions about it, and I've been scouring the forums there for awhile. Research, ya know.
Also, my brother will be sharing a booth with me, selling copies of his CD at the show. And we always seem to have fun hanging out together, and inspiring/bouncing ideas off eachother.
Aside from that, I'm going to have to start working on Christmas soon, too. This year, I've promised not to stress so much about it.
And before that, I have to make Halloween cookies! And I'm going to see Metallica the first weekend of November.
So yeah, I'll be off and on. But I'm pretty sure I won't neglect DA as much as I did from March 'til last month.

Well, I must say, it feels amazing to be back here. Though I don't know how active I'll always be able to be, just getting back in touch with everyone again has made me wonder how I stayed away so long.


Drawing-wise, I'll be working on the Kings and Knaves from my Card Queens series, though who knows how long it'll take, since I'm itching to do some new Jem art, and maybe a little SheRa (don't count on it though, my drawing time has been mostly taken over by my jewelry and crafting time lol).

I am, however, going to be making time for the tablet I got last Christmas, since I've barely had the chance to play with it.

Which brings me to my next announcement: I'm doing a bit of a gallery clean-up, getting rid of some older, horrid works. This ties in with my tablet because...instead of deleting my four "Belles of the Yule Ball" pieces (which, by the way, are my most faved works), I have decided (and started) to redo them digitaly. It'll be the same designs and essentially the same drawings, just hopefully better.
See, everytime I got another fave on the Yule Ball pics, I felt guilty. Looking at them, the designs are really nice, and the characters are of course very popular, but I always felt like the drawings were rushed, and rather horrible. I think people have faved the concept, but not necessarily the work. So, I'm gonna try my best to redo them and make them worthy of so many faves!

Another question! (If you're still reading at this point). I'm thinking of selling my jewelry on Etsy eventually. But I don't have a credit card, and you need one to have a shop...can I use someone else's? (With their permission, of course!) Also, any words of advice, tips on what to do about shipping, etc., and anything else in general?
Then I have to think of what I want to call my shop, since I'm wanting to rename my jewelry "company" to something that'll reflect all the eclectic things I do, but that's also easily searched for on the 'net.

Jeepers, I'm talkative today! I'll just go now lol. Hope everyone's been having a great weekend!!

Also, I have decided to close down my jewelry account for sure, and just keep posting my jewelry here. I'm more known for this username anyway, and two accounts is decidedly impossible for me to maintain!
